(Also Called 'How Well Do You Hear? Test - Diagnostic Tests')
Hearing is vital to your safety and ability to communicate. Yet many people are unaware that they have hearing loss and how their hearing can be improved. Complete the 10-item questionnaire * below to see if you, a family member, or a friend may need to have a hearing test by an audiologist.
Answer each question by checking "yes," "sometimes," or "no."
* Newman et al., 1991
Yes = 4 points Sometimes = 2 points No =0 points. Add up your total score. If your score is 18 points or greater, you may need a complete hearing test.
