What do fibroadenomas feel like?

Some fibroadenomas are so small they cannot be felt. They feel like a smooth, slippery mass in the breast. They are typically not painful and commonly grow over time to a size of 2-3cm.

How are fibroadenomas diagnosed?

A fibroadenoma is diagnosed by clinical exam by a breast health care provider and imaging tests such as mammogram and breast ultrasound.
