Women's Professional Staff Association at Cleveland Clinic Honors Women in Medicine

In celebration of “Women in Medicine” month, the Women’s Professional Staff Association at Cleveland Clinic Florida honored several women for their achievements and contributions to the field of medicine. Award recipients included Physician of the Year Chieh-Lin “Kathy” Fu, MD; Physician of Achievement Viviane Connor, MD; Physician of Vision Elizabeth Stone, MD; Physician of Mentorship Dalia McCoy, MD; and Circle of Honor recipient Susan Glennon, R.N.
“The celebration of Women in Medicine Month is about honoring the significant contributions our colleagues make to patient care and medical research and education,” said Bernie Fernandez, MD, chief executive officer of Cleveland Clinic Florida. “We are very fortunate at Cleveland Clinic to have such an exemplary group of women physicians and nurses, and I congratulate all the honorees for their achievements.”
Dr. Fu is a board certified hematologist and medical oncologist, who specializes in multiple myeloma, thrombocytosis and deep vein thrombosis. Board certified gynecologist Viviane Connor is co-director of the Section of Minimally Invasive Gynecology. Dr. Stone is a board certified medical oncologist specializing in breast cancer, and Dr. McCoy is board certified in family medicine.
Glennon, director of Ambulatory Services, is the first recipient of the Circle of Honor award, for her continuing support of Cleveland Clinic’s mission and values.
