The Functioning for Life Cognitive Health appointments introduce patients to the Functional Medicine approach and provide the necessary laboratory testing, health information and dietary guidance needed to support cognitive health. Each week, patients will interact with one of the various functional medicine providers including physicians, nurse practitioners, dietitians, health coaches and behavioral health therapists. Patients will also have access to individualized support and on-going communication with members of their care team throughout the 10-week program.

The Functioning for Life Cognitive Health class is for individuals who:

  • Are 45 years-old or older
  • Want to proactively protect or improve their cognitive health
  • Have subjective cognitive impairment, mild cognitive impairment or early dementia.
  • Live independently (ex. able to drive, cook, etc.)
  • Are able and willing to engage in moderate aerobic exercise (ex. cardio).

Each weekly program is one hour long, with the exception of sessions 1, 3, 5 and 10, which may last up to two hours. Discounted parking is available from the parking desk.
