Overview

Overview

By combining energy and expertise of both primary adult and pediatric surgeons, Cleveland Clinic provides a wealth and depth of experience in managing rare and difficult deformities and tumors in childhood. We specialize in the management and reconstruction of complex and recurrent pediatric facial tumors using this unique multidisciplinary approach.

It is not uncommon to have four or more surgeons involved in these cases in order to produce the best outcomes in each facet of care. Surgeries often involve head and neck cancer surgeons, pediatric head and neck surgeons, neurosurgeons and facial plastic/microvascular surgeons working side by side. Our experience and skill with complex tumor removal and reconstruction in both adults and children allows us to employ these techniques aggressively to achieve durable cancer control and the best cosmetic and functional outcomes.
