Maria Slutski is a Registered Psychotherapist at Cleveland Clinic Canada. Ms. Slutski has many years of experience helping patients work through life transitions, relationship difficulties, and dealing with depression, anxiety, and lack of motivation.

Ms. Slutski obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology before completing a Masters of Psychology at York University. Her graduate thesis and research focused on emotional reactivity and how it impacts workplace conflict and employee engagement. Always looking to learn the latest in her field, she has since completed certification in advanced cognitive behavioural therapy, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing, acceptance and commitment therapy, and mindfulness. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Psychology.

Ms. Slutski currently holds the position of Staff Professor at Guelph- Humber’s Faculty of Psychology. She teaches on the subjects of social psychology, conflict resolution and mediation. She has been involved in conducting qualitative and quantitative research, and working with organizations to facilitate more public access to efficient mental health services. Ms. Slutski believes that by identifying and removing barriers from one’s life, transformations are possible. She has been working for many years as a mental health consultant and has created national level programs for improving mental health for all Canadians. She is a regular speaker at various conferences on mental health across Canada and the US.

When she’s not seeing patients, Ms. Slutski enjoys cinematography and Canadian film.
