Cleveland Clinic Bringing Sports Health Expertise to Sports Time Ohio

Cleveland Clinic Sports Health Experts to Offer Advice to Weekend Warriors and Student Athletes on New Sports Time Ohio Show

Cleveland Clinic experts will offer tips, tricks and advice to weekend warriors and student athletes on “Sports Health with Cleveland Clinic,” a bi-weekly show which premiers on Sports Time Ohio (STO) at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 14.

Longtime Northeast Ohio television personality Brian McIntyre will host the 30-minute program, which will cover everything from proper nutrition to sports psychology to proper stretching and training.

Richard Parker, MD, Chair of Cleveland Clinic’s Orthopedic Surgery Department, said the show also will include a segment where experts answer viewers’ questions.

“Sports Health with Cleveland Clinic gives us the opportunity to share what we have learned while treating and training thousands of athletes,” said Parker. "Athletes at all levels face similar challenges and they can benefit from hearing the same kind of sports health tips offered to the pros."

Pat Kilkenney, Vice President of Program Development for STO, said the show fills a niche in the station’s markets throughout Ohio.

“This will be the state’s only regular sports health show featuring Cleveland Clinic experts and trainers and athletes from sports teams throughout Ohio,” he said. “We are pleased to offer the expertise of the physicians, trainers and experts.”

The show will be re-aired throughout the week. Viewers should check their local listings, so they can tap into Cleveland Clinic’s sports health expertise.
