Carrying excess body fat increases the risk of 11 cancers. While no single food or food component can protect you against cancer by itself, strong evidence shows that a diet filled with a variety of plant foods such as vegetables, fruits, whole grains and beans helps lower risk for many cancers.

Please join Cleveland Clinic Registered Dietitian, Erin Doran, to learn about many of the foods that can be beneficial in preventing cancer, as well as during and after treatment. Heinen’s Wellness Consultants will provide light refreshments and share information about the foods you can find in their stores.
