The Center for Sexual Function provides confidential evaluation and treatment of sexual problems in men, women and couples. Some of the problems we treat include impotence, erection problems, premature ejaculation, difficulty in reaching orgasm, loss of desire, pain during sexual activity, or other abnormalities that interfere with intercourse. Treatment plans are individualized, depending upon the problem, its underlying cause and the patient’s own preferences.
Our physicians discuss all of the possible treatments in a comfortable, confidential setting. Our team includes a full range of specialists - many with international reputations in their fields. The Center offers a variety of treatments, including individual psychotherapy; sex or marital therapy for individuals or couples; hormonal therapy; non-surgical techniques to treat erection problems, penile prostheses (when drugs are not effective); and reconstructive surgery to correct penile or vaginal abnormalities. Physicians in the Center have extensive experience in evaluating and treating sexual problems related to infertility and to illnesses such as cancer, diabetes or heart disease. Institute urologists are researching more effective treatments for sexual problems that result from urological cancers or surgery.
