Sarah Ondrejka, DO, is a Staff Physician in the Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Institute at Cleveland Clinic. She graduated from the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens, Ohio. She completed residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at Cleveland Clinic (Cleveland, Ohio) and a two-year fellowship in Hematopathology at Cleveland Clinic, and has been in practice in the department of Laboratory Medicine since 2014. Dr. Ondrejka serves as the Medical Director of Flow Cytometry.
Dr. Ondrejka specializes in diagnostic interpretation of bone marrow aspirates and biopsies, peripheral blood smears, body fluids, lymph node biopsies, flow cytometry, hemostasis and thrombosis tests, and other laboratory hematology tests. Her interests include Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin lymphomas, diseases of the bone marrow, and analysis of hemoglobinopathies and thalassemias. She is passionate about applying up-to-date practices in hematopathology to achieve a helpful and concise diagnosis that may impact patient experience and outcome.
She is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and Hematology. She is a fellow of the College of American Pathologists and the American Society for Clinical Pathology, and is a member of the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology, the Society for Hematology, the American Society of Hematology, and the International Society for Laboratory Hematology.
