Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists may collaborate with the pharmaceutical or medical device industries to help develop medical breakthroughs or provide medical expertise or education. Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.

To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.

As of 12/18/2023, Dr. Aziz has reported no financial relationship with industry that is applicable to this listing. Dr Aziz is always great. Very knowledgeable and thoughtful.

My experience with Dr. Aziz was a bit uncomfortable. She was 10 minutes late and didn't know what the appointment was scheduled for, despite me noting this in my appointment booking. When I expressed a need for a malaria pill prescription, she cut me off and proceeded to explain how I was putting her in an uncomfortable position by asking for a malaria pill instead of going to a travel clinic and that I should've requested the prescription earlier. Despite reprimanding me that this was "bad medicine," she proceeded to prescribe me the Malarone anyway. Dr. Aziz cut me off from explaining my concerns about the malaria pill side effects, as a migraine sufferer, so I had to wait until picking up the pills at CVS to ask about this.

Reviewed on Mar 2, 2024

Dr. Aziz was dismissive, rushed and seemed irritated the entire appointment. She downplayed my symptoms and kept telling me "you don't look sick/toxic". Made me feel like I was a bother and should not have come in when I was in pain. Made assumptions about my diet due to my weight, assumed the pain was from eating fried food and lots of dairy, I don't eat either.

Dr Aziz was great!

Reviewed on Nov 29, 2023

She was not my primary. She prescribed medicine without examining me. She said I was out of the wi Dow for testing what I had so she was going to "just give me Doxy and a prednisone pack (which was not what she sent to the pharma). She was abrupt, rude, and wouldn't listen to me. More so, she was incredibly loud when treating the patient next door. She was late as I had to listen to her frustrations about her family members while the patient uncomfortably repeated: uh huh. This Dr is an absolute mess.

Dr Aziz is beyond kind and compassionate to her patients. She always takes time to listen and understand each concern that I may have!

Reviewed on Nov 27, 2023

Dr. Aziz exhibits genuine care for me during my appointments with her, she efficiently reviews my conditions, and discusses the lab results and highlights areas of concern and provides gentle reminders/nudges, suggestions/recommendations -- ways to get back on track - weight gain, compliance with monitoring diet and exercise plans. Gave advice on chronic lower back pain NSAID prototcol - etc to alleviate ongoing low-grade pain. She's approachable, listens and probes for any issues/concerns I have regarding my overall health. Sharing reminders of timely screenings and referrals to other specialists.

She was in too big of a hurry to get my exam done

Reviewed on Oct 4, 2023

Dr Aziz moves fast and is thorough. She said hello when entering the room but didn't offer a handshake, I thought this was unusual. Maybe because I wasn't feeling well?

Reviewed on Sep 20, 2023

Dr. Aziz rushed through my appointment and seemed preoccupied with other matters. She is usually very good but this time I didn't feel that she spent adequate time with me nor did she listen very well. It's also the first time I've been noted as having "uncontrolled" Type 1diabetes. My endocrinologist would differ with Dr. Aziz, I'm sure.
