Industry Relationships

I got a telemedicine appointment that was 2 days from when I went to MyChart. I got a call asking if I wanted to see a doctor sooner, and they had an opening the next day. I was happy. The only Issue was that I didn't know that I had to do the pre check in questions again so I was nearly late logging in. I already did pre check in for the first appointment already but I had to do it again. It was stressful that I might miss the appointment.

This was an urgent visit for an unexpected problem and my PCP had no openings. She was brief, dismissive and just ordered what was done last time. Very little discussion, discussed no options and practically no exam or questions. I was an interruption to patients she would rather see. I have no doubt she is a good physician but she didn't care about me.

Dr. Tan did not seem at all concerned about the issue I was having, hardly asked any questions or seemed interested in what I was telling her. She seemed like she was rushed and didn't want the bother of a patient.I will not recommend her to anyone or been seen by her in the future.

Dr. Tan was great... I even told her before I left how grateful I was for all the time she gave me. We discussed all my changes in medications, even asking me what I thought! We talked about any side effects I should look out for. I was very impressed with her concerns about my health care!

Dr. Tan barely looks at me during the appointment and spends most of the time on the computer. Very business like and reluctant to answer questions. I will plan on changing PCPs although I have been with her for a very long time. I realize now that she is not someone I could talk with about medical issues as there seems to be a lack of empathy

I always appreciate Dr. Tan - she is very science-based, responsive to any questions; respects my individual concerns; e.g. Extreme medication sensitivity; is prevention oriented, and looks at health concerns not because of age but focus on health/illness.
