I've had Dr Southworth as my Internal Doctor since she started with the Clinic. .. Over 30 years. She knows me, my concerns, takes time to listen and takes time to explain. Has an amazing sense of humor and puts me at ease. I travel from TN to OH to see her because I've not found anyone that comes even close to her as a physician. True, I can see anyone for basic stuff but, if I have a big concern.. I trust Dr Southworth and I travel back home' !

When I was told I had to have a heart monitor on the doctor laughed. The nurse came in to put the monitor on. I said I hope Dr comes back. I have further questions she never said bye. I was very frustrated as a professional myself I would never leave a client hanging without saying goodbye, or any further questions, a nurse came in to get the questions I needed to relay to her ! Dr. Southworth has been my physician for many years. I have never had a complaint about her. If fact, at one visit many years ago, I complained about some odd pain in my finger and she sent me to rheumatology. Without that, who knows how long it would have taken to realize I have RA. I have some complex health needs AND I travel to places where there are many endemic diseases . Dr Southworh thinks outside the box to brainstorms to help figure out a diagnoses and come up with a treatment plan. I travel to India, Brazil and Mexico often,I have had some atypical ailments from my travels. Dr Southworth is spot on and I have no reservations when under her care. Also, I am a registered nurse, my bar tends to be pretty high. She respects that I know what I know.

Not only is she smart and serious when need be, but she's not afraid to laugh with you also!!! She was able to access my recent tests and felt that I was misdiagnosed. Dr southworth ordered new tests and consultations with other specialists who correctly diagnosed my condition. I feel,she was instrumental in getting me on the path to a healthy recovery and perhaps even saving my life.
