Biographical Sketch
Donna E. Hansel, M.D., Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anatomic Pathology, where she subspecializes in genitourinary pathology. She holds joint appointments in the Glickman Urological and Kidney Institute, Taussig Cancer Institute and Genomic Medicine Institute. Dr. Hansel is certified by the American Board of Pathology in Anatomic Pathology.
Dr. Hansel's laboratory research focuses on the development of new therapies for patients with bladder cancer. Her results have been presented nationally and internationally and have resulted in over 60 peer-reviewed publications. In addition, Dr. Hansel has clinical expertise in bladder, prostate, kidney and testicular cancer, having published numerous articles and book chapters on these topics.
Dr. Hansel received her undergraduate degree in Biology from the Johns Hopkins University and received her M.D./Ph.D degree from the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. She completed her residency and fellowship training at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in 2006.
