Dr. Sarah C. Vij is a urologist specializing in male infertility, vasectomy reversal, testicular pain, and erectile dysfunction.
Dr. Vij received her medical education in 2011 at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. She then pursued further training at Cleveland Clinic, completing her internship in general surgery in 2012, followed by a residency in urology, where she served as Chief Resident.
Dr. Vij pursued a fellowship in Male Infertility at Cleveland Clinic in 2018. This experience provided her with advanced training in diagnosing and treating simple and complex cases of male infertility.
Dr. Vij's dedication to her patients extends beyond the clinical setting. She holds key leadership roles, including Director for the Center for Male Fertility, where she oversees the delivery of specialized care and ensures the highest standards of treatment. Additionally, Dr. Vij serves as the Fellowship Director for Male Infertility & Andrology, where she plays an instrumental role in mentoring and training future urologists in this specialized field. She also holds the position of Associate Residency Program Director for the Urology Residency program, actively contributing to the education and development of aspiring urologists.
Dr. Vij engages in research focused on the use of vasectomy as a form of contraception and the development of diagnostics and therapeutics for male infertility. Her dedication to innovative research has earned her recognition, including the prestigious George & Grace Crile Traveling Fellowship Award. In 2023, she was honored as the Urological Association Young Urologist of the Year, a testament to her outstanding contributions to the field. Dr. Vij has also been consistently recognized as a Cleveland Magazine Best Doctor in both 2022 and 2023, highlighting her commitment to providing exceptional care to her patients.

Was challenging initially getting an appointment because it required an order to be created. Once I had an appt, I was called and informed it needed to be rescheduled due to the Dr being out that day, which is not a problem, but instead of waiting to actually reschedule the order was cancelled so I had to start from scratch going through many hoops to get the order recreated.

Dr. Vij was cold and very business like. She also had a student with her, who she said would only be observing. Then during the procedure, she was instructing him to do things - grab this, etc. I did not consent to a student participating in my procedure.

Dr. Vij did a fine job, described everything. Just seemed curt. Like in a hurry, came off as having little regard for the sensitivity of the area being operated on and I had some sharp pain on the first side. I know docs get used to just getting things done and maybe the pain influenced my perception.
