Biographical Sketch
Laura Dunn Goldberg, MD, is an Associate Staff research investigator in the Department of Orthopedic Sports Medicine at Cleveland Clinic's Lorain campus in Lorain, Ohio. She was appointed in 2006. She is also a primary care sports medicine Staff member with the Department of Orthopedics, at Kolczun & Kolczun Orthopedic Associates in Lorain.
Previously, Dr. Goldberg was a pediatric emergency attending physician with the Department of Pediatrics at University Hospitals, in Cleveland. She also served as a research investigator at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland and University of Vermont in Burlington, Vt.
Dr. Goldberg received her medical degree from Vermont College of Medicine, Burlington in 2002. For the next three years she was with Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. In 2006, she became a primary care sports medicine fellow at Cleveland Clinic's Department of Orthopedic Sports Medicine.
She is a board-certified physician and is licensed to practice in Ohio. Dr. Goldberg has received numerous certifications including Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); Neonatal Advanced Life Support (NAILS); Basic Life Support (BLS); and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
Dr. Goldberg is an author and presenter and a member of numerous professional societies including the American Medical Society of Sports Medicine, American Medical Athletic Association, the American College of Sports Medicine and the American Academy of Pediatrics.
In addition, Dr. Goldberg is an avid athlete, marathon runner and sailor. She has provided medical sports coverage for the Cleveland Browns (NFL), the Cleveland Cavaliers (NBA), the Cleveland Indians (Major League Baseball) and the Cleveland Barons (American Hockey League) among others.
