Biographical Sketch

Mayur M. Pandya, DO, is an Associate Staff physician in the Center of Neurological Restoration in the Department of Psychiatry and Psychology, located on the main campus of Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Pandya is also an associate residency training director, Adult Psychiatry, at Cleveland Clinic. Prior to his current responsibilities that he accepted in 2007, he was chief resident in psychiatry at Cleveland Clinic and a weekend psychiatry consultant for University Hospitals Geauga Regional Hospital, Chardon, OH.

Dr. Pandya is continuing to research advanced Parkinson's Disease through deep brain stimulation study. He is also interested in the administration of structured clinical interviews and rating scales to pre- and post-DBS candidates.

Dr. Pandya received his medical degree from the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine, Athens, Ohio. Upon graduation, he completed his residency at the Northside Hospital & Heart Institute, St. Petersburg, Fla. before coming to Cleveland Clinic. He holds his license from the Ohio State Medical Board and is certified in electroconvulsive therapy.

A publication in progress that Dr. Pandya is co-authoring is titled, "The Many Faces of Parkinson's Disease: Not just a movement disorder." He is a member of the Movement Disorders Society, the American Psychiatric Association and the Ohio Psychiatric Association.
