Biographical Sketch
Marcy Schwartz, MD, a Pediatric Cardiologist, has recently joined the Cleveland Clinic Heart and Vascular Institute. Previously she was an Associate in Cardiology at Children’s Hospital in Boston, Mass. She was an Assistant in Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School and a Pediatric Cardiology Consultant for Boston Medical Center. Dr. Schwartz is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatrics and is board-certified in pediatric cardiology. Her primary specialty interest is echocardiography.
Dr. Schwartz is an alumnus of the University of Arizona, Tucson, graduating summa cum laude and selected to be a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She received her medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, Nashville, Tenn. She then completed a residency, internship and fellowship at Children’s Hospital of Boston.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Schwartz has made contributions in teaching and research. Her articles and abstracts have appeared in numerous medical journals, and she has written chapters for textbooks in her field. She has been involved in NIH-funded clinical trials. Dr. Schwartz is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, American Heart Association, American Society of Echocardiology and the American College of Cardiology.
