Biographical Sketch
Bonita Coe, MD, MBA, is a native of Cleveland, Ohio, and received her undergraduate degree in human biology from Stanford University in Stanford, Calif. She obtained her medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, D.C., and did her residency training in internal medicine at Cleveland Clinic. She received a Master's of Business Administration in healthcare from Baldwin-Wallace College.
She has practiced primary care medicine in various settings, including group practice, HMO practice and private practice. Her experience also involves instruction of internal medicine residents and medical students in clinical practice. Her interests include prevention of the complications of chronic diseases and the delivery of cost-effective and equitable healthcare. She has been involved in various community boards and agencies, and speaks to many community groups, focusing on the prevention of disease and maintenance of health and wellness.
