Biographical Sketch

Richard D. Kim, MD, is Associate Staff in the Department of Solid Tumor Oncology, Section of Gastrointestinal Malignancies at the Cleveland Clinic Taussig Cancer Center and Clinical Assistant professor at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation Case Western Reserve University Lerner College of Medicine. He is board-certified in internal medicine and medical oncology.

Dr. Kim completed a six-year, Bachelor of Science and medical degree program at the University of Miami School of Medicine and completed his internship in internal medicine at New York University Downtown Hospital, N.Y. He completed a residency in internal medicine at University of Illinois at Chicago and a post-doctoral fellowship in hematology and medical oncology at Yale University Comprehensive Cancer Center, New Haven, Conn.

He is a principal investor in many trials of novel drugs for gastrointestinal tumors and has published in many journals including Lancet Oncology. He is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and reviews articles submitted for publication in Cancer Chemotherapy and Pharmacology, Diseases of the Esophagus, Clinical Colorectal Cancer and Oncology.
