Firas Al Solaiman, M.D.

Firas Al Solaiman, MD, RPVI, RVT, is a Staff Physician in the Cleveland Clinic Department of Cardiovascular Medicine, Section of Vascular Medicine. He is board-certified in vascular medicine and in internal medicine. He is also a registered physician in vascular imaging interpretation. Dr. Al Solaiman’s specialty interests include peripheral arterial disease, cardiovascular risk factor modification and venous thromboembolic disease.

Dr. Al Solaiman, a native of Syria, received his medical degree from Aleppo University Faculty of Medicine in Aleppo, Syria. During medical school, he received the Presidential Award for ranking first in his class for multiple years, and he received the Al-Based Presidential Prize as the top graduate in his medical school class. His clinical training included clerkship in internal medicine at Northwestern University, Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Ill. In 2002, he began his residency in internal medicine at Cleveland Clinic.

His residency was followed by a fellowship at Cleveland Clinic in vascular medicine. He joined Cleveland Clinic as an Associate Staff member in 2006. Dr. Al Solaiman is a member of the American College of Physicians, the Society for Vascular Medicine, as well as the Society for Vascular Ultrasound.

Dr. Al Solaiman’s current research area of interest lies in peripheral vascular disease and vascular ultrasound.
