Biographical Sketch
Jesse A. McCarron, MD, is an Associate Clinician in the Upper-Extremity Section of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery in the Orthopaedic and Rheumatologic Institute at Cleveland Clinic. His clinical area of subspecialty interest is shoulder pathology. This work involves the treatment of an array of shoulder problems, from acute injuries to complex degenerative processes.
Dr. McCarron is an active member of the Ohio Orthopaedic Society and a candidate member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is currently board eligible in orthopaedic surgery.
His clinical and basic science research activities focus on diagnostic modalities and treatment strategies for rotator cuff injuries, including the use of graft materials in the treatment of rotator cuff repairs. His research activities are supported from August 2007 through August 2009 by NIH Training Grant T32 AR 050959-01.
In addition to his clinical and research activities, Dr. McCarron is involved in ongoing resident and medical student education, and was a presenter at the 8th Annual Orthopaedics: Excellence Through Education Retreat, February 1, 2008.
