Kalyani Shah, M.D.

Kalyani Shah, MD, is a Staff Physician in the Rehabilitation Institute, with a joint appointment in the Center for Spine Health at Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Shah is interested in spine rehabilitation. She treats patients with back pain, neck pain, various spine disorders/spinal stenosis, disc herniation, compression fractures, spondylolisthesis, spondylosis, spondylolysis and gait dysfunction at the Medical Spine and Rehabilitation Center in the Outpatient Clinic. She is also interested in musculoskeletal medicine, and treats patients with hip osteoarthritis, knee osteoarthritis, shoulder arthritis, rotator cuff syndrome and the like. 

She is a Consulting Physician at the Subacute Mellen Center/Center for Rehabilitation. She treats patients with s/p THA, s/p TKA, s/p laminectomy/fusion, spine disorders, stroke, brain injury, neuromuscular disorders, multiple sclerosis, neuropathy, gait disorders,  s/p AKA,  s/p BKA and deconditioning/debility.

Dr. Shah is involved in educational activities, teaching residents from MetroHealth Medical Center, medical students from Case Western Reserve University and Fellows from the Cleveland Clinic Pain Center.

She has begun research activities with Dr. Vinoth in Biomedical Engineering Research on the effects of mental motor actions on functional recovery after cerebral stroke.
