Biographical Sketch
Paul Gubanich, MD, is an Associate Staff member in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. His specialty interests include outcomes research, childhood wellness, injury prevention, performance enhancement, medical problems in athletes, and the management of sports concussions. Dr. Gubanich is a Team Physician for the Cleveland Browns football team.
Dr. Gubanich earned his medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine and Public Health in Columbus, Ohio. He completed an internal medicine residency and primary care sports medicine fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio.
He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine with a certificate of added qualification in Sports Medicine.
Dr. Gubanich has lead or participated in a number of research studies on topics related to sports medicine. He has a member of the AMSSM research certificate, is a reviewer for several journals, presented at national and international meetings, and has published articles in peer-reviewed journals.
He is a member of several professional societies, including the American College of Sports Medicine, American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, NFL Team Physician's Association and the American College of Physicians.
