Biographical Sketch
Omer Koc, MD, is a Staff Member in the Department of Regional Oncology at the Cleveland Clinic main campus, and in the Department of Hematology & Medical Oncology at the Cleveland Clinic Beachwood Family Health and Surgery Center.
Dr. Koc earned his medical degree from Istanbul Medical School in Istanbul, Turkey. He completed an internship in medicine at the University of Istanbul. He completed an internship and residency in medicine at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. He also held a hematology/oncology fellowship and a bone marrow transplantation fellowship at University Hospitals of Cleveland.
He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine with additional certifications in medicine, oncology and hematology.
He has been a scientific and educational presenter a number of times on topics such as bone marrow transplantation, gene technology in cancer, and stem cells, among many others.
Dr. Koc is a member of the American Society of Hematology and the American Society for Clinical Oncology, and he has been a reviewer for several peer-reviewed journals, as well as having been published a number of times in many peer-reviewed journals.
