Biographical Sketch
Matthew P. Bunyard, MD, was born in Ohio and graduated from Miami University in Oxford. He then attended the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo and graduated with honors; receiving the Glidden L. Brooks award as the superior student in all phases of the curriculum. He continued his training with an internal medicine residency at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, and then followed this with a rheumatology fellowship at Duke University. He practiced general rheumatology in Maryland for 10 years.
He is board-certified in both internal medicine and rheumatology and is a fellow of the American College of Rheumatology.
He joined the medical staff in the Department of Rheumatic and Immunologic Diseases at the Cleveland Clinic in 2004. He is the Director of Clinic Operations for the department at the Cleveland Clinic main campus and regional medical practices.
He holds a faculty position of Clinical Assistant Professor in the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University and directs the general rheumatology clinic elective for the medical students.
