Biographical Sketch

Theodore Suh, MD, PhD, joined the Geriatric Medicine Program at Cleveland Clinic in July 2004 after completing a fellowship in geriatric medicine at Duke University and Durham VA Medical Center. He received his MD and PhD through the Physician Scientist Training Program at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, and obtained his Master's of Health Science degree from Duke University. He also completed his internal medicine residency training at Cleveland Clinic.

Dr. Suh is a member of the American Medical Association, American College of Physicians/American Society of Internal Medicine and the American Geriatrics Society. He has also been a member of the National Association of Asian American Professionals, having served as President of the North Carolina chapter, National Chair of Chapter Development and President of the Cleveland chapter.

His clinical and research interests include geriatric assessment, dementia diagnosis and management, functional assessment, falls, medications costs and side effects, sleep disorders in older patients and osteoporosis. As Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University, he is Director of the Aging Theme and Course Director for the Aging Adult rotation for third- and fourth-year medical students. He has recently been appointed Co-Chair of the Asian Employee Resource Group at Cleveland Clinic.

In addition to being part of the professional Staff at Cleveland Clinic, Dr. Suh is Medical Director of the Geriatric Assessment Program at Euclid Hospital. Each fall, he serves as Moderator for the annual “Geriatrics: Your Future is Now” Conference held at Landerhaven and sponsored by Euclid Hospital.
