Biographical Sketch

Franck Rahaghi, MD, MH, FCCP, is Chair of Quality at Cleveland Clinic Florida Hospital and Clinic. He has also been Medical Director of the Respiratory Care Department since 2003.

In 2003, Dr. Rahaghi became Staff Attending in Pulmonary Critical Care as well as Director of the Pulmonary Hypertension Clinic, Cleveland Clinic Florida. In 2005, he became Head of the Pulmonary Education and Rehabilitation Department as well as a member of the Internal Review Board, responsible for correct conduct of research and clinical trials at Cleveland Clinic Florida. In the following year, he was named Director of Quality and Outcomes Development in the Division of Medicine.

Formerly, Dr. Rahaghi was a Fellow in Medicine/Pulmonary/Critical Care at New York Presbyterian-Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York City (1999-2003). He was also an Instructor in genetic medicine at the Cornell University Weill School of Medicine (2001-2003) and assisted in the design and implementation of clinical trials at Cornell (Activated Protein C and  IFN gamma-1b) (2000-2003).

In 1999, he was a Visiting Associate Physician at Rockefeller University Hospital, New York, N.Y. He participated in the Categorical Internal Medicine Program at the University of Illinois at Chicago from 1997-1999. From 1996-1997, he participated in the Categorical Internal Medicine Program.at the University of Minnesota, Minn. In 2000, he became a Hospitalist at Sharp Memorial Hospital, San Diego. The following year, he was a Visitor at the University of California-San Diego Interventional Pulmonology Department/Pulmonary Hypertension.
