Biographical Sketch
Prashanthi Thota, MD, is a Staff Member in the Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the Cleveland Clinic main campus, as well as the Strongsville Family Health and Surgery Center. Her specialty interest in advanced procedures in endoscopy.
Dr. Thota earned her medical degree from Gandhi Medical College University of Health Sciences in Pradesh, India. She completed an internal medicine residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, as well as a gastroenterology fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio.
She is board-certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology.
She is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Gastroenterological Association, the American College of Gastroenterology and the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
She has published a number of articles on topics such as high-grade dysplasia and cancer, use of video endoscope and conventional endoscopy with sedation, Barrett’s Esophagus, and septic arthritis, among others. She has also authored book chapters on aging and the gastrointestinal tract, current diagnosis and treatment in gastroenterology and pancreatic disorders.
