Biographical Sketch
Weiping Wang, MD, is a Staff Radiologist in the Section of Vascular and Interventional Radiology in the Division of Radiology at Cleveland Clinic. He is certified by the American Board of Nuclear Medicine and the American Board of Radiology.
Dr. Wang received a medical degree from Xian Medical College in China and a Master's Degree in nuclear medicine from Shanghai University. He completed an internship and a residency in nuclear medicine at the Hospital of Nanfang Medical University in China. He completed a medical internship in the United States at the Brookdale Hospital Medical Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., followed by a residency in nuclear medicine at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. He also completed a residency in diagnostic radiology at New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY.
Dr. Wang pursued a fellowship in the Section of Nuclear Medicine, Department of Radiology at Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, Conn., and a fellowship in nuclear oncology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. He also completed a fellowship in vascular/interventional radiology at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine in Rochester, Minn. He is licensed in Ohio, New York, Minnesota, Indiana, Tennessee and Michigan.
Dr. Wang has written numerous articles for peer-reviewed publications, and he has been a co-investigator in a number of clinical trials.
