Biographical Sketch

Shannon Perkins, MD, PhD, is an Associate Staff Member in the Department of Psychiatry and Psychology at the Strongsville Family Health and Surgery Center.

Her specialty interests include adult clinical psychology including depression, anxiety, weight management, stress management, coping with chronic illness and disability, and psychological factors impacting physical health. She provides psychotherapy, stress management and biofeedback training to adults and couples.

Dr. Perkins earned her doctoral degree from Saint Louis University in St. Louis, Mo. She completed an internship at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Fla., and a fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio.

She has published and presented poster research on behavioral therapy.
