Biographical Sketch
Scott Cooper, MD, PhD, is a Staff Member in the Center for Neurological Restoration. His specialty interests include movement disorders, motor neurophysiology, and deep brain stimulation.
Dr. Cooper earned his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York. He earned his doctoral degree from Columbia University's Center for Neurobiology and Behavior. He completed a medical internship at Boston City Hospital / Boston Medical Center in Boston, MA. He also completed a residency in neurology and fellowship in movement disorders at The Neurological Institute of New York and Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center.
He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Neurology and Psychiatry, as well as a member of the American Academy of Neurology, the Movement Disorders Society and the Society for Neuroscience.
He has published papers and book chapters on aspects of neurophysiology and deep brain stimulation.
