Biographical Sketch

Michel C. Samson, MD, FRCSC, FACS, is a Staff Surgeon in the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Cleveland Clinic Florida Weston. He is also Plastic Surgery Residency Program Director and Chairman (Interim) of the Department of Plastic Surgery. In addition, Dr. Samson has an Adjunct Clinical Faculty appointment at Barry University in Miami, Fla., and is Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation Health Sciences Center of Ohio State University, Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Samson's specialty interests lie in cosmetic surgery of the face and body and cosmetic breast surgery and breast reconstruction.

After receiving a BS in physics with first class honors from Mount Allison University in Sackville, New Brunswick, Canada, Dr. Samson studied medicine at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, completing his degree in 1995 with academic distinctions in medicine and surgery.  Dr. Samson was selected for and completed an integrated plastic surgery residency at Dalhousie University.  He subsequently completed advanced training in an aesthetic plastic surgery fellowship at Cleveland Clinic Florida. He was appointed to Cleveland Clinic in 2000, and is licensed to practice in Florida, North Carolina and New York.

Dr. Samson is a member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, with specialist board certification in plastic surgery.
