Biographical Sketch

John Kernan Jewell, MD, is Associate Staff in the Department of Internal Medicine and Education Coordinator at Cleveland Clinic's Strongsville campus. He is board-certified in internal medicine and has special interests in diabetes, hyperlipidemia, preventive medicine as well as resident and medical student education.

Dr. Jewell received his medical degree, graduating cum laude, from Georgetown University School of Medicine, Washington, D.C. He completed his internal medicine residency at Cleveland Clinic.

Today a preceptor for medical residents in Cleveland Clinic's residency program, Dr. Jewell was a clinical instructor at the Pennsylvania State University School of Medicine and served as an associate editor of the Cleveland Clinic Journal of Medicine.
