Biographical Sketch

Roberta Bauer, MD, is a Staff Member in the Department of Developmental and Rehabilitation Pediatrics. Her specialty interest is developmental pediatrics.

Dr. Bauer earned her medical degree form the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in Pittsburgh, Penn. She completed an internship, residency in pediatrics and fellowship in child development at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh and another fellowship in pediatric rehabilitation at D.T. Watson Rehabilitation Hospital in Sewickley, Penn.

She is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in both pediatrics and neurodevelopmental disabilities, the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in neurodevelopmental disabilities.

Dr. Bauer has been recognized as Best Pediatrician in America among many other honors and awards.

She is a member of the Society of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics, the Northeastern Ohio Pediatric Society, the Ohio Academy of Pediatrics, and is a Fellow with the American Academy of Pediatrics.

She has published articles, book chapters and has presented on topics such as neuropsychological and achievement outcomes, normal child growth and development, developmental disabilities, and alternative therapies in treating autism, among many others.
