Biographical Sketch
Lisa A. DeSantis, MD, was born in Youngstown, Ohio. She attended Boardman High School, and then matriculated to Case Western Reserve University where she graduated magna cum laude in 1991 with a degree in communication sciences. She then attended Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine where she graduated in 1995. She completed a family practice residency at University Hospitals of Cleveland, Ohio, in 1998, and was board-certified in family medicine in the same year. After three years in private practice, Dr. DeSantis joined Cleveland Clinic at the Solon Regional Medical Practice. She is Section Head of Family Medicine at the Solon Family Health Center. In addition to seeing patients, she is involved in teaching students at the Lerner College of Medicine. Her clinical interests include preventive medicine, patient education, adolescent and women’s health and common chronic medical conditions such as diabetes and hypertension.
