Biographical Sketch

Michael Maier, DPM, is a doctor of podiatric medicine who specializes in wound care. He is Director of the Lower-Extremity Wound Clinic and an Associate Staff in Vascular Medicine at Cleveland Clinic. A fellow of the American College of Certified Wound Specialists and a diplomate of the American Academy of Wound Management, he is board-certified by the American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics and Primary Podiatric Medicine. He serves as the vascular medicine rotation director for the primary podiatric medical residency program at Cleveland Clinic.

Dr. Maier graduated from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine after completing his undergraduate work at Baldwin-Wallace College and Ohio State University. His residency was in the Orthopedic Surgery Department at Cleveland Clinic.
