Biographical Sketch
William Seitz, MD, joined the Cleveland Clinic Beachwood Family Health and Surgery Center as a hand and upper extremity surgeon. He also serves as the Executive Director of the Cleveland Orthopaedic and Spine Hospital at Lutheran Hospital and Director of Hand and Upper Extremity.
 
Dr. Seitz is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, a founding member of the International Society for Fracture Repair and a member of the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons Society. He most recently served as the Chairman for the American Society for Surgery of the Hand’s 3rd Combined Meeting of the Japanese and American Societies for Surgery of the Hand.
 
He was named to Who’s Who in Medicine and Healthcare and Science and Engineering (1997-2000) and in Woodward and White’s The Best Doctors in America, Midwest Region Edition (1996-2000). In 1992-1993 was named the Sterling Bunnell International Traveling Fellow for the ASSH.
 
Dr. Seitz’s specialty interests include management of problems of the entire upper extremity, including the shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand arising from congenital, arthritic, traumatic, neurologic and acquired conditions. He has been visiting professor and keynote speaker nationally and internationally on his work in shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand problems.
