Biographical Sketch
Beth Gardini Dixon, PsyD, is a clinical psychologist in Cleveland Clinic's Department of Psychiatry and Psychology. She was appointed to the Cleveland Clinic staff in 1999 and works at the Westlake Family Health Center.

Dr. Dixon earned her doctorate at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology and completed her internship at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center (Danville, IL). Her practice focuses on providing outpatient services to adults and older adults, in collaboration with physicians in various specialties. Areas of expertise include treatment of mood disorders (acute/chronic depression, bipolar disorder) and anxiety disorders (generalized anxiety, panic disorder, phobias); adjustment to chronic illness and disability; coping with grief, loss and difficult life transitions; and stress management. She has a developing interest in behavioral sleep medicine and the treatment of sleep disorders.

Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic, Dr. Dixon maintained a private practice and provided outpatient psychotherapy, inpatient psychological assessment, and consultation on a multidisciplinary team at sub-acute rehabilitation and extended care facilities. In addition, she co-led a mental health panel to establish psychiatric programs and protocols in the state correctional system.
