Biographical Sketch

Ernest C. Borden, MD, is the Director of the  Center for Hematology and Oncology Molecular Therapeutics (CHOMT) at Cleveland Clinic and Deputy Director of the Taussig Cancer Institute.   
 
He graduated from Harvard University with an A.B. in biochemistry in 1961. He attended medical school at Duke University School of Medicine, Durham, N.C., and completed his internship at Duke University Medical Center, Durham, N.C.

Dr. Borden also received a fellowship from Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, Md., and completed his residency at Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania,  Philadelphia, Penn.

His specialty interests include melanoma, sarcomas, new cancer therapies including interferons, vaccines and antibodies.
