Biographical Sketch
MaryAnn Mays, MD, was raised in Cleveland, Ohio. She completed her medical school training at the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo in 1993. She returned to Cleveland to complete her neurology residency training from 1993 to 1997. During her residency she was appointed Chief Resident. Following her residency, she completed a year fellowship in clinical neurophysiology/EMG and neuromuscular disease. She has been a Staff Neurologist at Cleveland Clinic since 1998. In 2005, she was appointed Director of the Neurology residency program.
Dr. Mays is board-certified in neurology with additional subspecialty board certifications in clinical neurophysiology and headache medicine. She is one of the physicians at the Center for Headache and Pain within the Neurological Institute. She has many clinical interests, including migraine, menstrual migraine, women’s health issues pertaining to headache including pregnancy and menopause, tension headaches, cluster headaches and chronic daily headaches. Additional interests include resident education.
