Biographical Sketch
Donna Waite, MD, is a Clinical Associate and Attending Staff Cardiothoracic Surgeon at Hillcrest, Marymount, Euclid, Huron and South Pointe hospitals of Cleveland Clinic. She also serves as Attending Staff Cardiothoracic Surgeon in the Lake County Hospital System. She has been with Cleveland Clinic since 1998.
Dr. Waite is certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery. She has a special interest in surgical treatment of thoracic and cardiovascular disease.
She completed her undergraduate and graduate work at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, Mass., graduating with a Bachelor of Science summa cum laude and Phi Betta Kappa. She received her medical degree from the University of Massachusetts School of Medicine in Worchester, Mass. Dr. Waite completed her residency in general surgery at the Yale-New Haven Hospital and St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, Conn. She received a fellowship in Cardiothoracic surgery at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Montefiore Hospital and Medical Center in Bronx, N.Y.
Dr. Waite is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American College of Cardiology. She is a member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons and Women in Thoracic Surgery.
