James Murphy, MD, is Medical Director in the Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Cleveland Clinic Wooster, where he was appointed in 1998.

Dr. Murphy earned his BA from the University of Notre Dame in Indiana and his medical degree from Rush University Medical College in Chicago. He completed his residency, internship and fellowship at MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio.  

Dr. Murphy's specialty interests include diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy and general gastrointestinal disease.
