Biographical Sketch
Inderbir Singh Gill, MD, is Head of the Section of Laparoscopic and Minimally Invasive Surgery in the Urological Institute at Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. His clinical interests are laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgery of the adrenal gland, kidney, prostate and bladder; renal transplantation; and renovascular surgery.
Dr. Gill has been listed in Best Doctors in America and as one of the best doctors in Cleveland by Cleveland magazine. He is a recipient of the Pfizer Scholars in Urology Award from the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
Board-certified in surgery and urology, Dr. Gill is active in scientific publication, having published more than 150 scientific papers and two textbooks. He is a Section Editor for Urology and Techniques in Urology. In addition, he is a reviewer for a number of peer-reviewed publications including Journal of Urology, Journal of Endourology, and Urology. He has been an invited speaker/visiting professor to approximately 80 institutions. Under his leadership, the Section of Laparoscopic and Minimally Invasive Surgery in the Urological Institute is one of the premier groups in the world.
He earned his medical degree from Government Medical College Punjabi University in Patiala, India, where he also completed his internship. He completed a residency in general surgery at Dayanand Medical College and Hospital in Ludihana, India, and a residency in urology at All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi, India. In addition, Dr. Gill completed a residency in urology at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. He also completed a fellowship in renal transplantation and renovascular surgery at Cleveland Clinic.
