Biographical Sketch

Soo Hyun (Esther) Kim MD, MPH is a staff physician in the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of vascular disease. She joined the staff in 2008 after completing fellowships at Cleveland Clinic in cardiology and vascular medicine.

A graduate of Duke University School of Medicine in Durham, N.C., Dr. Kim also holds a Master’s in Public Health from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. She completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Johns Hopkins Hospital before coming to Cleveland Clinic for her fellowships.

Dr. Kim has co-authored and edited chapters for several books related to the diagnosis and treatment of peripheral vascular disease, including the Manual of Cardiovascular Medicine, edited by Brian Griffin, MD, and Eric Topol, MD, published by Lippincott Williams & Wilkins in 2009. She is an award-winning researcher, including the 2007 American College of Cardiology Young Investigator Award.

Dr. Kim is board certified in Internal Medicine and Diagnostic Medical Sonography as a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI). She is a member of the American Heart Association, the American College of Cardiology, and the Society of Vascular Medicine.
