Biographical Sketch
Robert Dimeff, MD, joined the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery in 1989, specializing in primary care sports medicine. Dr. Dimeff is focused on the medical evaluation and treatment of orthopedic injuries and illness related to sports participation. Dr. Dimeff serves as Director of Primary Care Sports Medicine and Sports Health Community Affairs at Cleveland Clinic. He enjoys joint appointments in the Department of Pediatrics and Department of Family Practice, as well as academic appointment as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Family Practice at Case Western Reserve University.
He was Director of the Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship from 1990 until 2007, and currently serves as the Associate Director. He is Team Physician for Shaker High School and is a Sports Medicine Consultant to several professional, college and high school teams.
In addition to treating sports medicine-related problems, Dr. Dimeff is active in research, evaluating techniques to improve performance including sports nutrition, dietary supplements and strength and conditioning programs.
