Biographical Sketch

William S. Wilke, MD, is a Staff member in the Department of Rheumatic and Immunologic Disease at Cleveland Clinic. He was appointed in 1977 after completing a special fellowship in the Department of Rheumatic and Immunologic Disease at Cleveland Clinic.

 

His clinical interests include rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia.

 

Dr. Wilke received his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin (Marquette) and he completed an internship and an internal medicine residency at Akron City Hospital.

 

Dr. Wilke has written numerous journal articles, abstracts, letters and book chapters. Until recently, he served as the associate editor of the Cleveland Clinic Journal of Medicine. During his career, he has been a member of the American College of Rheumatology, the Cleveland Rheumatism Society, the Ohio Society of Rheumatology, the Ohio Society of Internal Medicine, the Cleveland Academy of Medicine, the Northeastern Ohio Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation, the American Federation for Clinical Research, and the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
