Biographical Sketch
Phillip M. Hall, MD, is a Clinical Professor at Cleveland Clinic College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University, and a Staff consultant for the Department of Nephrology and Hypertension at Cleveland Clinic's main campus. Prior to 2001, he was a staff physician in Clinical Nephrology and Hypertension at Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Hall is certified with the Ohio State Medical Board (June 1965), the American Board of Internal Medicine (October 1970) and the Subspecialty Board-Nephrology (October 1972).
In 1965, Dr. Hall received his medical degree from the Ohio State University, College of Medicine, in Columbus, Ohio. He completed his internship and residency in general internal medicine at Cleveland Clinic. In 1968, he became a fellow in the Department of Clinical Hypertension and Nephrology at Cleveland Clinic. The following year, Dr. Hall was a fellow with the Hypertension Research Division at Cleveland Clinic.
His research has been published in leading peer-reviewed journals and he has contributed chapters to medical textbooks in his field. Dr. Hall is an international speaker and author, in addition to being a member of the Academy of Medicine of Cleveland; American Society of Internal Medicine; American College of Physicians; International Society of Nephrology; and American Society of Nephrology, among others.
He has been the recipient of many teaching awards through his career including, the Master Teacher Award of the Board of Governors of the Cleveland Clinic.
