Biographical Sketch

Leonard Krajewski, MD, is a Vascular Surgeon in the Cleveland Clinic Department of Vascular Surgery. He is board-certified in surgery and in general vascular surgery. Dr. Krajewski specializes in peripheral vascular surgery. His specialty interests also include aortic aneurysm repair, arterio-venous fistula construction, peripheral artery bypass, mesenteric/renal artery repair or bypass and carotid artery surgery, as well as arterial reconstruction, thoraco-abdominal aneurysm repair and reconstruction and abdominal aneurysm repair.

A native of Pennsylvania, Dr. Krajewski received his undergraduate degree in biology from King’s College in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., and his medical degree from Hahnemann Medical College in Philadelphia. He did his internship and his surgical residency at Cleveland Clinic, where he completed a fellowship in vascular surgery.

Prior to his 1984 appointment to Cleveland Clinic as a Vascular Surgeon, Dr. Krajewski was in private practice in California. He is the former Director of the Vascular Surgery Residency program (1989-2000).

Dr. Krajewski has authored or co-authored articles, abstracts and book chapters in peer-reviewed medical and scientific journals and in medical textbooks, focusing on his specialty interests. They include the Journal of Vascular Surgery, Journal of Cardiovascular Surgery, Anesthesiology and the Journal of Clinical Investigations, among others.

Dr. Krajewski is a member of the American College of Surgeons and the Ohio Chapter of the American College of Surgeons. He belongs to the Society for Vascular Surgery, the Midwestern Vascular Surgical Society and the Cleveland Surgical Society.
