Biographical Sketch
Juan J. Nogueras, MD, FACS, FASCRS, is Chief Medical Officer at Cleveland Clinic Florida, Weston, and has been Chairman of the Division of Surgery since 2000. He has been on Staff as a Colorectal Surgeon since 1991. Dr. Nogueras' treatment interests include colon and rectal cancer, inherited colorectal cancer, Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, diverticulitis, fecal incontinence, benign anorectal diseases and colonoscopy. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery. Dr. Nogueras was appointed Chief Medical Officer in 2008.
Dr. Nogueras received his undergraduate education at Princeton University in Princeton, N.J., and his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. He completed his internship and residency in general surgery at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City and a fellowship in colon and rectal surgery at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.
